University of Nairobi Students Gain Industry Exposure at KenGen’s Olkaria Geothermal Power Plant

The University of Nairobi, through the Engineering and Science Complex (ESC) Company Series Program, successfully conducted an industry learning visit to the Olkaria I Additional Unit (AU) Geothermal Power Station, hosted by Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen). The visit involved 40 Company Series students from the Faculties of Engineering and Science & Technology, accompanied by university staff, for an immersive industry experience.

Strengthening Research Capacity Through Grant Writing and Mentorship Training

The University of Nairobi has concluded a four-day Grant Writing and Mentorship Workshop held from 3rd to 6th February 2026, organized in collaboration between the Directorate of University Advancement & Institutional Development and the Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) Division. The workshop aimed at strengthening institutional research capacity by equipping participants with practical skills in proposal development and research management.
