About Us

The Office of University Advancement has the challenging and rewarding responsibility of building relationships between the university and its community, including donors, alumni, parents, and other friends, as well as the task of seeking funding to support building projects, endowed chairs, and scholarships.

Welcome to UON Advancement Office, a Directorate established to fund raise, establish endowment funds and enhance the University of Nairobi brand. Advancement is a shared enterprise aligned with the vision, mission and key priorities of top leadership and integrated across institutional sectors, to maximise efficiency and benefits over a sustained period of time within a context of constrained resources yet boundless opportunities. This is achieved through leveraging internal relationships to maximise external support. This creates a process to deliver the vision and strategic institutional goals, foster a community of support, opportunities to diversify income and produce better outcomes for students, staff and researchers.

Tsinghua University High Delegation visits UoN to deepen current Collaborations

Following the signing of an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Tsinghua University and the University of Nairobi on September 1, 2017, Tsinghua University sent a team of nine high level delegates to enhance communication and cooperation with the University of Nairobi on June 29, 2018. Led by Prof. Guo Yong the Vice Chairperson, Tsinghua University Council, the team aimed to follow up on issues in the signed MoU with the University of Nairobi. The team from UoN was led by Prof. Prof.

Ten UoN Students graduate with an Advanced Agriculture Diploma from the Arava International Centre for Agricultural Training (AICAT)

Following the Jerusalem Declaration, an MoU signed between President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and H.E. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the State of Israel signed on 23rd February 2016,   the University of Nairobi among other Agricultural, Water and Irrigation Training related institutions sent top students to the Arava International Centre for Agricultural Training (AICAT) to study an Advanced Diploma in Agriculture and Agribusiness.
