Brief History
The Directorate of University Advancement was established in 2015 with a mandate to support the University in
resource mobilization as well as building mutually beneficial partnerships. It is the strategic unit that initiates major
University Projects with a view of building a self-sustainable institution of higher learning.
The principle driver has been the belief that true sustainability can only be achieved from within (internal) than externally (dependency).
Further to the establishment of the Directorate, several important projects have been initiated.
The Directorate's mandates grew and later named University Advancement and Institutional Development in 2020 and is currently in charge of; Resource Mobilization, Partnerships, Government and Alumni Relations, Governance Support, Business Modelling of Income Generating Units (IGUs) and Asset Commercialization.
