Collaborations Take Center Stage at ESC Research Annual Conference

The University of Nairobi’s Engineering and Science Complex (ESC) successfully held its Research Annual Conference on October 21–22, 2025, alongside the University’s Research and Innovation Week. The event brought together researchers, PhD students and academic partners from Kenya and France to showcase ongoing collaborations and share insights on advancing research and innovation within the ESC framework.

ESC Project Accelerates Policy and Digital Innovation at Naivasha Workshop

The Engineering and Science Complex (ESC) Project marked a major milestone in its policy and systems development journey through two back-to-back workshops held in Naivasha from 17 to 18 July 2025. The sessions brought together interdisciplinary teams under the key ESC pillars to co-develop policy frameworks and digital transformation roadmaps aimed at strengthening the project's implementation and long-term sustainability.

Engineering & Science Complex Project Presented at the 9th International Research Symposium on PBL

Due to the complexity of global challenges (climate change, energy transition, exhaustion of resources, inequalities…) and the emergence of new disciplines (systems science, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, quantum technology…), the education of engineers, technologists and scientists is evolving fast.

Developments on the Engineering and Science Complex

There is good progress towards the implementation of the University of Nairobi Engineering and Science Complex (ESC). This was revealed by Mr. Bertrand Willocquet, the new AFD Kenya County Director when he paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama.
