The Directorate of University Advancement and Institutional Development has facilitated the signing of a Collaboration Agreement with Korosho Origin Limited which will see the establishment of a Nucleic Acid-Based Testing, Research and Trials Centre.
The proposed Centre of Excellence will provide general medical innovation research and testing with the aim of coming up with local medical solutions for current and future ailments, pathogens and pandemics. This shall go a long way in ensuring that Kenya is better prepared and self-sufficient in the event of future outbreaks and pandemics.
Korosho Origin Limited has partnerships with African Herbal Limited which is an exporter of herbal raw materials and an importer of COVID-19 equipment and test kits approved by the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and Kenya Poisons Board.
