On Monday, March 13, 2023, a delegation from the International Centre for Higher Education and Innovation under the auspice of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI) paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Stephen Kiama.
The University of Nairobi, International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI), UNESCO Priority Africa and External Relations Sector, UNESCO regional office for Eastern Africa in Nairobi, the Kenya Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on Monday, April 25, 2022, launched the Smart Classroom (IIOE Kenya National Centre).
On January 11, 2022, the 2021 International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) Partner Annual Conference (West Asia and Africa) was successfully held.
During the Conference, The University of Nairobi was appointed rotating Chair unit of the IIOE in 2022. “The IIOE National Centers" were officially launched in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia.
