The Directorate of University Advancement Hosts the Catholic University of Murcia

The Directorate of University Advancement & Institutional Development hosted the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) represented by the Head of International Marketing and Student Recruitment Ms. Millicent Aynanda.

Ms Anyanda was on a week-long benchmarking visit at the University of Nairobi. During her visit, Ms Anyanda paid courtesy calls to the Academics and Admissions Division, the Dean of Students and Career Services Office, the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, UNC-TV studios and the Directorate of Corporate Affairs.

AFRETEC HEALTH CLUSTER

The African Engineering and Technology Network (AFRETEC) is a pan-African collaboration of technology-focused universities from across the African continent. The creation of Afretec is a defining moment for the digital transformation of Africa. The network will build a strong knowledge creation and educational infrastructure on the continent. It will also provide a platform for its members to engage in deep collaboration that drives inclusive digital growth in Africa.

UoN Signs Collaboration Agreement with French Multinational Company OLVEA

French Multinational Olvea Kenya has joined other French multinationals and 2 local Kenyan companies in signing the Tripartite Partnership Agreement (TPA) between the University of Nairobi the two consortiums of French Universities ParisTech and Centrale Supelec.

The purpose of the agreement is to improve standards of Engineering and science training under the Science and Engineering complex (SEC) project –funded by the French Development Agency (ADB) at the University of Nairobi.

UoN Hosts the Annual AFRETEC Network Conference 2023

The University of Nairobi, through the Directorate of University Advancement & Institutional Development, hosted the the African Engineering and Technology Network (AFRETEC) annual conference from the 18th to the 20th of September 2023.

UoN and Elgon Kenya Ltd Partnership Leads to the Establishment of an Agricultural Technology and Innovation Centre

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with Elgon Kenya Ltd marked the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the first of its kind, Kantaria Agricultural Technology and Innovation Centre (KATIC), at the upper Kabete Campus, Faculty of Agriculture. The collaboration addresses the need for enhanced innovation, mentorship and commercialization of innovative technologies and ideas in the agricultural sector, commercial success and to accelerate the uptake of technology and innovations along the agricultural value chains.

Engineering & Science Complex Project Presented at the 9th International Research Symposium on PBL

President Ruto Visits Global Centre for Adaptation Headquarters ahead of the Africa Climate Summit

His Excellency William S. Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, visited the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) floating headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on 7 May 2022 to participate in a Strategic Dialogue on the Africa Climate Summit.

Great Milestone in Kenya-France Cooperation as UoN and Paristech Sign Partnership Agreement

The University of Nairobi and ParisTech Universities jointly signed a Tripartite Partnership Agreement launching a four-year cooperation programme for the development of the Engineering and Science Complex (ESC) in Nairobi. The Agreement was signed on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Paris, France. ParisTech is a consortium of science and engineering universities in France.

President Ruto Commends UoN and CMA-Africa Partnership

The President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Ruto, lauded and appreciated the partnership between the University of Nairobi (UoN) and Carnegie Mellon University-Africa (CMU-Africa). The president echoed his sentiments when he visited and engaged students of Carnegie Mellon University-Africa during his three-day state visit to Rwanda.
