Vision 2030 has laid out the goal of transforming the country into a newly industrialized middle-income economy within the next 10 years, and key infrastructure projects have been launched accordingly. The Big Four agenda has prioritized food security, housing, healthcare and manufacturing as the main areas of focus for government action.

Strengthening Research Capacity Through Grant Writing and Mentorship Training
The University of Nairobi has concluded a four-day Grant Writing and Mentorship Workshop held from 3rd to 6th February 2026, organized in collaboration between the Directorate of University Advancement & Institutional Development and the Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) Division. The workshop aimed at strengthening institutional research capacity by equipping participants with practical skills in proposal development and research management.
